Apple is a mountainous-region fruit often described as "living plant organ" when on the tree; and continues its life even after harvest. In the diverse conditions of Balochistan, its uplands are ideally suited for the production of apples in a comparatively disease-free environment. IAC exports the traditional varieties of apples namely Golden delicious, Turkulu and Amri. August to December represent the peak harvest season, ideal for the preparation of Jam, Pickles and Juices. |
